Six-degree-of-freedom alignment stages for an off-axis parabola; part of a larger assembly I designed and built. The mirror is 30 mm diameter. From the top: a flexure-hinged tip-tilt platform, with both tip and tilt axes centered on the surface of the mirror; barely visible beneath that is a flexure yaw stage. Below that, an XY dovetail stage and a spring-loaded, non-pivoting Z stage. The anti-pivot mechanism in the Z stage consists of sized-to-fit gauge pins and flexure-sprung "vee's" that ride on the pins. All stages are lockable and were designed from scratch. These are part of a system of which the client has requested additional units.
