Photograph of the final setup for erecting a 16-ton obelisk using only wind power. The project was the brainchild of Dr. Maureen Clemmons. I was responsible for the lifting concept, which I based on the method Domenico Fontana used in 1586 to erect the Vatican Obelisk (330 tons), and for coordinating the kite flying.
